An Evening with General George Washington

Tonight was just a delight! We had the chance to meet Gen. George Washington who stopped by to tell us about how the Declaration of Independence was created, and about his role in the early years of our country. I asked him about that famous painting of him kneeling by his horse and he told me that story is based on some exaggerations and unsubstantiated stories, but that he did indeed pray a lot, and that the label "diest" is 100% WRONG. He was a practicing Christian. His granddaughter wrote that after spending much of her life with him until he died that if he wasn't a Christian then he also wasn't a Patriot!
